Classic Team Logo of the Day

An old logo of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League, circa 1927.  Some of the players on that 1927 Bruins team had great hockey names – Dit Clapper, Dutch Gainor, Sprague Cleghorn and team captain Lionel Hitchman. Hall of Famer Eddie Shore was also a member of the team.

This logo of the Detroit Tigers baseball team was used in the years 1934 through 1960. Players who played for the team in that era include Hank Greenberg, Virgil Trucks, Dizzy Trout, Al Kaline and the first black player to play for the Tigers, Ozzie Virgil, Sr.

The New York Titans were an original member of the American Football League when it began play in 1960.
